There has been a murder in Cardopolis; the joker has been hit. He talked too much and became a liability. He had to be "Dealt with"! There was, however, a witness to the crime 1 out of 52. Only one card can identify the hitman.
The single witness to the shooting randomly 'approaches' the spectator. They are just one of the 52 innocent citizens of Cardopolis. The spectator sees the card, but fearing the boss and his henchmen, the witness quickly hide in the crowd of other cards again. When the big boss (the magician) finds out from the spectator who the witness was, he goes looking for them but they are gone. The whole deck is searched; even counted. There are only 51 "citizens" left!
The spectator is invited to open an isolated envelope, untouched since the beginning of the trick. Inside this envelope (marked Witness Relocation Program), the spectator finds the Witness card. But there is a problem. Upon removing the card fully they discover a single bullet hole in the 'Witness'! They should have never talked.
