Bright Ideas is a collection of killer commercial card effects. On this DVD you will see Christopher Williams performing the effects in a live situation and get some spectacular reactions with some stunning visual card Magic.
All these routines come straight from Christophers working repertoire and have been streamlined to work in almost any performing environment. After seeing a live performance each effect is then individually broken down and explained in full detail in the studio including all the necessary sleights and subtleties that have been developed through countless performances.
On this DVD you will learn
Guiltless Aces - From a borrowed, shuffled deck, the Aces are found with just a simple cut. Each phase gets better than the preceding phase with a killer kicker ending! Christopher even closes his act with this sometimes!!!
Las Vegas Jokers - One of Christophers personal favourites! Dr Daleys last trick given a logical performance with a second, killer phase!
CTP - The Magicians pockets are checked by the spectator and found to be empty. Four cards, and only four (which can be signed) vanish one at a time only to appear each in a different pocket. Each vanish and reappearance gets better than the one before. This has caught the attention of several top magicians!
Sightseer - Christophers handling of Larry Jennings The Visitor effect. The spectators signed selection twice jumps from between one set of Queens between another under impossible conditions, with a kicker final phase!
Oil & Hot Water - A simple, easy to follow Oil and water, with just 4 cards! However at the end, the backs change colour! And then back again! Everything is examinable!
Thought of Cards Across - 20 cards are taken from the deck and 10 turned face up, 10 face down. The spectator chooses which packet they want to think of a card from, and in the same condition, the cards are given to a spectator, 10 cards each. Just a snap and there are now 11 in one packet and 9 in the other. The spectators card has travelled across! But wait, another spectator saw a card no problem! The magician snaps his fingers and another card has jumped across, leaving 12 cards and 8, the second selection has gone across! All done in the hands!
Also includes the following fantastic routines: Triumphant Colour Changing Collectors, Repeat Sandwich, Un-gaffed Entourage & Queens Transpo.
Conjuring historians have traced the origins of the Ambitious Card plot back to a French conjuror named Alberti who performed in the early 1800's but the idea of placing a card into the middle of the back and having it return to the top almost certainly occurred to card magicians prior to that. It definitely has intrigued magicians since then as just about every performer with cards since that time has included some version of this trick in their repertoire.
In this volume, you'll meet a variety of performers who have taken this very basic yet magical idea of a single playing card constantly rising to the top of the pack in some very clever and decidedly different directions. For example, David Regal leads off with his routine which transmogrifies an ordinary playing card into a puppy that always responds to the voice of its master. You'll see and learn Harry Lorayne's routine which first saw print in his classic Close-Up Card Magic performed and taught by the man himself. Frank Garcia offers some clever moves that are ready to be implemented into your own routine while Michael Ammar demonstrates a routine that would compliment the repertoire of any card worker. Doc Eason is up next with his take, a high point of his bar set, while Paul Wilson, Al Schneider and the inimitable Tommy Wonder perform and teach their routines which all end up with the card appearing in a totally unexpected and magical place. Finally, Dai Vernon's reminiscence about the origins of his timeless routine from Stars of Magic is the perfect way to round out this Ambitious Card extravaganza.
It's been said that the Ambitious Card may be the most magical thing you can perform with a deck of cards, and with this DVD and the classic routines and performers it offers, you'll never be at a loss for yet another way to make the spectator's card come to the top of the deck as if by magic.

Of all the various versions of the borrowed object in the impossible place plot, the Bill in Lemon and its variations remains one of the strongest tricks in all of magic. The fact that a borrowed and marked object ends up in an organically sealed item such as a lemon or orange is truly astonishing to audiences, no matter how many times they see it.
In this volume, you'll meet some of the world's foremost exponents of this extraordinary feat. First off, Bill Malone explores all of the comedic possibilities of the trick in addition to offering a bullet-proof and truly mystifying method. Doc Eason is up next with his take on Steve Spill's Bill in the Lemon, considered by many in the know to be the very best version extent, particularly for the bar venue. Then, Fielding West shows you how to make this trick play for a stage-size audience while J. J. Sanvert turns the Card in the Lemon into a theatrical experience. Finally, Ted Lesley performs and demonstrates an easy-to-do yet baffling Bill in Lemon with a method that will delight you and thoroughly entertain your audiences.
If you've ever thought about putting the Bill in Lemon into your act, you'll find five compelling reasons - and performances - on this DVD that will convince you to get started right away.

The folding coin was first introduced into the literature of magic by Professor Hoffmann in the late 1800s. Since that time, magicians have been coming up with diverse ways to perform the classic Coin in Bottle, the effect for which the gimmick was first invented, in addition to other novel ways in which this unusually gimmicked coin can be put to use.
In this volume, you'll learn David Roth's take on what has now become a classic of street magic as a piece of a coin is visibly bitten off and then expectorated back into place. You'll then be treated to five different approaches to the Coin in Bottle. First, Johnny Thompson performs and teaches his version, which he refers to as one of his pet tricks. Then, one of the world's great bar magicians, Karl Norman, demonstrates his fine touches on the trick. David Roth is up next with an adaptation with a truly bizarre finish and also imparts some important information on the care and handling of folding coins. Then, Michael Ammar teaches his reputation-making versions that features a squeaky-clean way of getting into the trick and, in the stage version, a similarly clean finish. To round out the set, David Roth finishes up with two completely different ways to use the folding coin, first as a way of magically producing coins in the hand and secondly, as a method for performing the classic Coins Through Table so that the coins apparently visibly vanish into the surface of the table.
The folding coin has been around for a long time and there's a good reason for that. If you've never experienced the sheer astonishment of an audience as they watch a coin apparently pass into and out of a solid glass bottle, you're missing out on what Michael Ammar called one of the five strongest effects you can do with a coin. And, on this DVD, you'll learn everything you need to know to put a folding coin effect right into your A list of material.
