	Wooden Wanders - 'The Elite Collection' Wooden Wanders are proud to present 'The Elite Collection' of finely hand crafted Magic Wands. They are made in exotic hardwood from around the globe, and then hand turned on the wood lathe, finely sanded and then oiled to bring out the rich colour and grain of each of the hardwoods. This Stylish and Beautiful Collection builds up over time to create a wonderful presentation. All Elite Collection wands are displayed in a solid Mahogany case with black velour interior. This is what makes them stand out from all the rest and how the name of them came about. The Elite Collection consists of smaller collections, which will be added to every six months, giving you time to collect them all. The first smaller collection will be called 'The Sleights' and each wand will be named after a sleight of hand move. There will be four wands to collect in this group. 	The Palm - Oak with Zebrano tips Oak - The Oak lives to a great age of a thousand years and more, acorns are born at sixty years old and it is cut for timber at 150 to 200 years, which is used where hardness and strength are required. It was used extensively for shipbuilding and house frames, the bark has been used for tanning and dyeing. Modern day uses include high quality furniture Zebrano - Origin in Cameroon. This hardwood is a light golden-yellow with streaks and veining being dark brown almost black. The sapwood is wide, being grey-white in colour often with darker markings. 	The Pass - Zebrano with Sycamore tips Zebrano - Origin in Cameroon. This hardwood is a light golden-yellow with streaks and veining being dark brown almost black. The sapwood is wide, being grey-white in colour often with darker markings. Interlocked or wavy grain with a course texture. Sycamore - Origin in United Kingdom. This is a large tree up to 35m high. Heartwood is white to creamy white, often with curly or wavy grain. It is also known as Fiddleback Sycamore because of its usage in the making of violins.
