Effect: The magician invites a participant on stage. The magician then gives a another spectator a wallet that has been taped shut, along with a restaurant order pad. Next he hands the on-stage participant a menu. The magician explains that he is going to enjoy an imaginary dinner at the nationally known institution of country dining, Cracker Bucket.
As the participant on stage works her way through the menu “ordering” her dinner, the spectator in the audience writes down the price of each item that is selected. When all four courses have been chosen, the prices are added up and the total announced. The wallet is opened and inside is the exact amount of money needed to pay for dinner – including the tip!
