Slot Machine is one of Michael’s most praised effects and for good reason! This is a perfect example of how he takes something that usually plays for an intimate crowd and turns it into a little piece of theatre. In this piece of wonderfully elegant magic, Michael explains that he recently went on to a trip to Las Vegas and decided to play the slot machines. He takes one coin, places it into his hand and slides a wand into his fist to simulate the handle of a slot machine. As he pulls the lever, loses his money and the coin vanishes. This is done again but this time, he comes ever closer to winning but still, the coin vanishes. Finally, he places a final coin into his hand, pulls the lever and… JACKPOT! Michael opens his hand and it is seen to be packed with silver coins!
