Many card magicians know the classic Omni Deck ending: the entire deck visually transforms into a solid, transparent block. It is a beautiful and powerful visual ending - but there is often one small problem. Once the spectator receives the transparent block, they may simply look at it and think: "Okay... it's a clear block."

Omni Butterfly changes that moment. Instead of ending with a simple transparent block, the transformation becomes a second discovery. The deck disappears. The block appears. And then, as the spectator looks closer... there is a butterfly inside.

From a Deck of Cards to a Butterfly Preserved in Crystal

Inspired by the beauty of amber preserving life inside it, Hyde Ren created the Omni Butterfly together with Bacon Magic. The basic handling remains familiar to anyone who already performs an Omni Deck routine. At the climax, the entire deck transforms into a crystal-clear acrylic block.

But the spectator's experience does not end there. At first, they see the transformation. Then they notice something inside. A butterfly appears to have been preserved inside the crystal. This creates a natural two-stage reaction: "The cards became a block." followed by: "Wait... there's a butterfly inside." That second discovery gives the classic Omni Deck ending an entirely new visual dimension.

Use It With Your Existing Card Routines

The Omni Butterfly is designed to work with poker-sized playing cards, including standard Bicycle-size decks. You do not need to change your existing routine or learn an entirely new effect. Simply use the Omni Butterfly as the final destination of your card transformation.

A Butterfly Inside the Crystal

The original concept was inspired by amber - a natural material famous for preserving insects and other forms of life for millions of years. Omni Butterfly brings that visual idea into magic: a deck of playing cards transforms into a transparent block, apparently preserving a butterfly inside it.

If you choose to replace the included plastic butterfly with a real specimen, the natural details of the wings, texture, and posture make every piece unique. No two natural specimens will look exactly the same.

More Than a Magic Prop

Unlike many magic props that disappear into a drawer after a performance, Omni Butterfly is designed to look good even when you are not performing. Place it on your desk, shelf, or display cabinet. The transparent acrylic catches the light, while the butterfly becomes the focal point inside. It can function as both a magic prop and a small display piece.

Note: A real butterfly specimen is not included due to international shipping restrictions. The acrylic block is intentionally left unsealed so that you can replace the plastic model with a locally sourced butterfly specimen if desired.
