Lars La Ville from La Ville Magic presents Memo Man a multi-phased card separation effect that looks impossible!

Phase 1: Colour Separation. After a packet of red and black cards are mixed face up and face down, the performer memorizes the position of all cards that are face up. The Spectator shuffles the packet of cards and the performer gives the spectator more choices to turn cards face up or face down, without the magician looking. The performer then places the cards under a handkerchief and after a few seconds the shows that he has sorted all the black and red cards just by using memory skills.

Phase 2: This time even and odd cards are separated during the same haphazard mixing sequence.

Phase 3: Picture – Number. All number and court cards are separated.

Phase 4: No Errors. An extra card is placed face down. The cards are separated red and black again, but the performer is left with one black card by "mistake" in between the red cards. Of course the performer knew that this would happen as the card on the table has the same value and suit as the black card that is between the red cards!

Phase 5. Royal Flux. A royal Flush in poker is a very good hand, and these cards are the only cards face up cards in the deck after a random mixing sequence.

Phase 6: 4 Of A Kind. 4 queens – 4 of a kind in poker is a very good hand, and the queens are the only 4 cards face up in the deck after a random shuffle sequence.

Phase 7: Same – Same. The same amount of red and black cards are turned face up after an extremely fair mixing sequence. No marked cards and you can use a borrowed deck!
