Here's a great idea: before an event, purchase two identical ties and request the host to wear one. Keep the other hidden in the goblet. At show time, carefully cut their tie with a scissors. Place the pieces of their tie in the goblet, do the magical work, and pull out the "restored" tie from the glass! The audience will scream!
