Before we get into the details, it's worth sharing a little of the story behind this project.
Several years ago, we were shown a prototype wallet created by Dee Christopher called The Shadow 2. Even in its unfinished form, one aspect immediately stood out: the ground breaking peek system. It was unlike anything we had seen before. Clever, practical, and beautifully thought through, it was one of those ideas that instantly makes you stop and rethink what's possible.
At the time, however, the wallet never saw a commercial release.
When we took over The 1914, one of the first things we asked Dee about was this forgotten project. To our surprise, it was still sitting there, unreleased. Since then, we've worked closely with Dee, Masuda, and our manufacturing partners to refine, develop, and ultimately bring this remarkable concept to life.
The result is The Shadow Wallet 2.0
At its heart is a peek system that feels almost impossible. The first time you experience it, you'll be convinced there's some form of electronic technology at work. There isn't.
No batteries. No electronics. No compromises.
Instead, Dee has created an ingenious mechanical system that allows you to effectively switch the peek on and off whenever you wish. When you need access to the information, it's there in full view. When you don't, it disappears completely. No awkward handling. No privacy screens. No angle concerns. Just a beautifully deceptive solution that feels as impossible as it is practical.
But The Shadow Wallet 2 is more than just a peek wallet.
The indexing system has also been expanded, increasing from six compartments to twelve. This makes it ideal for performers who wish to incorporate star sign revelations, larger indexing routines, or any effect requiring fast and reliable access to multiple outs.
The Shadow Wallet 2 is a perfect example of what happens when a genuinely innovative idea is given the time and attention it deserves. Intelligent thinking, elegant engineering, and a solution that feels genuinely new.
Some concepts are worth waiting for. This is one of them.
